1. Payment Structure:
All music lessons must be booked and paid for in advance as part of a package.
Clients can choose between a 5-week or 10-week package at their chosen lesson time of 30, 45 or 60 minute lessons.
Payment methods accepted are cash, Revolut, or bank transfer. Bank transfer payments should be made in advance to ensure receipt before the first lesson of the package.
An invoice will be provided upon completion of payment, and a reminder will be issued towards the end of each 5 or 10-week period for package renewal.
2. Cancellations and Rescheduling:
If a client needs to cancel a lesson, they must notify us as early as possible.
Cancellations made with short notice before the start of a lesson will incur a charge of 50% of the lesson fee. If a client does not attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice, the full lesson fee will be charged.
In all cancellation cases, an alternative time may be offered for a make-up lesson, subject to availability.
3. Teacher Absences and Rescheduling:
In the event that the teacher is unavailable due to illness, emergency, or other commitments, East Ferry Music will make every effort to arrange a suitable substitute teacher.
If a substitute teacher is not available, a make-up lesson will be scheduled at a time that is mutually convenient for the client and teacher before the end of the term.
If rescheduling is not possible, the cost of the missed lesson will be deducted from the price of the next term or a refund for that lesson will be issued.
Refunds are provided if a make-up lesson cannot be scheduled due to a teacher's absence.
4. Refund Policy:
Refunds will only be issued in cases where a lesson cannot be rescheduled due to the teacher's absence or other issues caused by the school.
If a client withdraws from a term due to serious illness or injury, a pro-rata refund or fee adjustment may be considered, provided appropriate documentation is submitted.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment source within 14 days.
No refunds will be given for client cancellations unless otherwise agreed. However, in the case of an unforeseen personal emergency (e.g., sudden illness, family emergency), the client may be eligible for one make-up lesson per term, provided that notice is given as soon as possible.
If a client misses a rescheduled lesson, no further refund or rescheduling will be offered, and the missed lesson will be considered delivered.
5. Late Payments:
Customers are responsible for ensuring timely payment of their packages. A reminder will be sent prior to the end of the package period to facilitate timely renewal.
Failure to make payment before the start of a new package period may result in suspension of lessons until payment is received.
6. Communication:
All important communications, including lesson schedule changes, cancellations, and payment reminders, will be sent via email or text message.
Clients are expected to check their email or phone regularly to stay informed about any changes or updates.
7. Trial Lessons:
Prospective clients will be offered a trial lesson to familiarise themselves with the teacher and lesson structure. Trial lessons are free of charge.
If the client decides to continue, arrangements for a full package can be made following the trial.
8. General Terms:
The time allocated for each lesson is reserved exclusively for the client. If the client fails to attend, the teacher’s time will still be compensated, and no refund or additional make-up lesson will be provided unless otherwise specified.
In case of unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather or school closures, lessons will be rescheduled, and client will be informed as early as possible.
By enrolling in lessons with East Ferry Music, students and their guardians agree to adhere to the above payment and cancellation policies.
This does not mean that we are inflexible nor lacking in compassion and understanding. Please reach out to [email protected] or call +353 87 4848 350 with any questions or concerns.
